Kia lineup.

Kia pairs its pricing with a 10 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and a lineup that runs from the $23K K4 to the three-row Telluride and EV9.

By The Model Black · Updated October 7, 2026

Every new Kia carries the headline coverage in the industry: a 10 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty plus a 5 year / 60,000 mile basic warranty and 5 years of roadside assistance. Kia does not include complimentary scheduled maintenance, so budget for routine service.

Seltos Hybrid

Late 2026

The first-ever Seltos HEV joins the redesigned, Telluride-inspired lineup, with a Kia-first electric all-wheel drive on a hybrid SUV.

Questions.

What does Kia's 10-year warranty actually cover?

The 10 year / 100,000 mile coverage applies to the powertrain: engine, transmission, and drive components. The rest of the vehicle carries 5 year / 60,000 mile basic coverage. Key caveat: the full 10-year powertrain term belongs to the original owner. Buy used, and powertrain coverage for second and later owners drops to 5 years / 60,000 miles.

Does Kia include complimentary maintenance like Toyota and Hyundai?

No. Kia's warranty is long, but scheduled maintenance is on you from day one. Factor roughly the cost of oil changes and tire rotations into your ownership budget, or negotiate a dealer maintenance package.

What happened to the Kia Soul?

Kia retired the Soul after the 2025 model year. Its natural replacements in the lineup are the Seltos, which is now Kia's most affordable SUV, the new K4 hatchback, and the Niro hybrid.

Telluride or Sorento: which 3-row Kia should I buy?

The Telluride is the bigger, plusher family flagship with the roomier third row. The Sorento is easier to park, cheaper, and the only one offering hybrid and plug-in hybrid power. If the third row is for adults every day, go Telluride. If it is for occasional use and you want better mpg, go Sorento.

Can Kia EVs use Tesla Superchargers?

Yes. Current EV6 and EV9 models come with a native NACS charge port that plugs straight into most Tesla Superchargers, and adapters cover CCS stations. Both also use 800-volt architecture for fast charging on a compatible charger.
