Every new car on The Model Black shows its MSRP and your estimated payment to anyone who looks. The Model Black Savings on that car, and the selling price they produce, show once you sign in. Creating an account to see pricing is complimentary, and that account is exactly that: an email, a six-digit code, and nothing sent to anyone.
Enter your email, we send a code, you enter the code. From that moment every new car on the site shows the savings line in full, priced for where you live. There is no password, no phone number, no credit pull, and no form to fill in. The address has to receive the code, so an account only exists once the email is real.
Creating an account does not put you in front of a dealership. No participating dealership is told you signed up, no one calls, and nothing about you leaves The Model Black. The dealership hears from you when you have built the deal you want, finished the purchase file, and sent it. Until then, you are browsing in private.
Participating dealerships set their own pricing on The Model Black. Signing in lets us show you those prices, priced for where you live, without sharing your details with anyone. The payments stay open to everyone because a payment is an estimate for your situation, not a price on a car.
We don't give your information to dealers just because you signed up to view pricing. We know what it's like for dealers, even multiple dealers, to receive your information just so you can browse prices and deals. We keep your information private until you are ready to purchase, so you don't have to receive unwanted calls, texts, and emails, and they don't have to send them. You communicate with the dealer when it's time.
A membership is how you start buying. Every membership includes an introduction to the participating dealership you choose, so you can complete your purchase directly with them. It belongs to your account, not to any one car: it covers you and the members of your household who live at your address, for as many purchases as you make during its term, and it is the same price whatever you choose.
