Car payment calculators.

By The Model Black · Updated September 30, 2026

Type the price you agreed on and see the car priced three ways: what it costs out the door in cash, the monthly payment on a loan at your credit score, and the monthly payment on a lease. Your state's sales tax, trade-in credit, title, and registration are built in, and you can change any of them.

Your payment, three ways.

Type your own numbers and see the same car priced as cash and as a loan, with the taxes and state fees for Arizona. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Lease

To see a lease, pick a vehicle. A lease is priced on one car: what it is expected to be worth at the end (its residual) and the leasing company's money factor change by model and by month.

Pick a vehicleHow leasing works

An estimate on the numbers you type, not an offer of credit or a quote from any dealership. Starting loan rates are Rateous's rates for each credit range and term; they are not an offer from any lender. The documentary fee starts at an example figure, the state's legal cap where it has one or $599 where it does not, not any dealership's fee; each dealership sets its own. Taxes and state fees are estimates for Arizona; the dealership's paperwork and your motor vehicle agency have the final numbers. Nothing you type is sent, saved, or used to check your credit.

Pick the question you are asking.

Every calculator below runs the same math, so the numbers agree from page to page. Each page explains one part of the deal in depth.

Questions.

How do I calculate a car payment?

Start with the price you agreed on, add sales tax and the title, registration, and dealership fees, and subtract your cash down, your trade-in equity, and any rebates. That is the amount you borrow. The monthly payment is that amount times the monthly rate, divided by one minus one-plus-the-monthly-rate to the power of minus the number of months. The calculator above does it for you with your state's tax rules.

Is my information saved or sent anywhere?

No. The calculators work entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent, saved, or used to check your credit.

Where do the starting loan rates come from?

The loan rate starts at Rateous's rate for the credit range and term you pick, for a current-year car at a loan-to-value of about 90 percent, including an estimate of dealer participation. It is a starting point, not an offer. Change it to a rate you have been quoted.
