Rivian builds electric trucks and SUVs with quad-motor traction, highway range, and storage throughout. The R1T pickup and R1S SUV are the current lineup, both in their second generation, with the smaller R2 and R3 to come.
The truck that made electric off-roading real: up to roughly 420 miles of range, 11,000 lbs of towing, a gear tunnel, and air suspension that climbs from slammed to 15 inches of clearance.
Seven real seats, up to roughly 410 miles of range, and real off-road hardware. The family adventure flagship.
A compact crossover with hot-hatch attitude, slotting below the R2 at an even lower price. The rally-flavored R3X follows, built at Rivian's new Georgia plant.
Rivian sells its own cars. There is no franchise dealer setting a price or competing for the sale, so The Model Black cannot price a Rivian for you. These are the closest cars you can buy through a franchise store, matched by size, body style, and range. When a participating dealership lists one new, it is priced three ways for your ZIP code.
Electric pickup, adventure spec. Electric pickups built for towing and dirt, through a dealer with a truck service bay.
Up to about 478 miles of range and a MultiPro Midgate that opens the bed into the cab. For 2026 the lineup grows to three trims, and battery coverage runs 8 years / 100,000 miles.
Up to about 478 miles of range, up to 760 hp, and a Midgate that pass-throughs the bed into the cab. Battery coverage runs 8 years / 100,000 miles. For 2026 the lineup is WT, LT, and the new Trail Boss.
Pickup or SUV, up to 1,000 hp, CrabWalk diagonal driving, and air suspension that lifts about six inches in Extract Mode. Nothing else on the road behaves like it. Battery coverage is 8 years / 100,000 miles.
Ford's F-Series, which includes the F-150, has been America's best-selling truck line for 49 consecutive years, per Ford, with 828,832 F-Series trucks sold in 2025. Engines run from a 325 hp turbo V6 to the 720 hp Raptor R V8, with the PowerBoost hybrid adding onboard generator power for the job site or the campsite.
Three-row electric SUV. Three rows, all-wheel drive, and range enough for the I-17 run north.
A mainstream three-row EV: up to 304 miles of range, seating for seven, 5,000 lbs of towing, and Supercharger access via its NACS port.
The new three-row electric Cadillac: 615 hp standard, around 305 miles of range, and a baby-Escalade IQ presence for families who want the full EV switch.
Volvo's electric flagship: three rows, up to 310 miles of range, and a lidar-equipped safety suite that scans the road hundreds of feet ahead.
All-new for 2026: Hyundai's electric flagship with three real rows, a 110 kWh battery, up to 335 miles of range, and a NACS port for Tesla Superchargers.
Everywhere a Tesla does, plus the rest. Rivians can use Tesla Superchargers via NACS access, Rivian's own Adventure Network, and every major CCS network. Between those, most road trips are easy, and daily charging happens at home.
Well. The battery is liquid-cooled with an aggressive thermal management system, and Rivian's dog mode and pet comfort features keep the cabin conditioned while parked. Like any EV, expect somewhat less range at triple-digit temperatures with the AC working hard.
Rivian has the smaller R2 SUV slated to start around $45K, with the R3 to follow. Plus each dealership's own documentary fee (not a government fee), taxes, and government fees. Neither is on sale yet, so if you need a Rivian today it is R1T or R1S; if you can wait, the R2 is the affordability play.
Rivian operates its own service centers in major metros plus mobile service vans that come to you for many repairs. It is a direct-sales brand, so there is no traditional dealer network.
Incentive rules have shifted repeatedly and the broad federal new-EV credit lapsed for most buyers in late 2025. Some state and utility programs still offer EV incentives, so check what currently applies where you live before you count on savings.
